The National Civil War Museum is currently seeking a full-time security and facilities employee. Duties include light janitorial work, security monitoring, facilities and event set-up, delivery coordination, crowd management, emergency response, and the overseeing of facility related needs for educational activities including living history presentations, lectures, and other such programing.
The position is full-time and requires weekend and night work. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Candidates should have two to three years’ experience in a related field. The position requires applicants to be able to lift at least 50 lbs, and be able to traverse stairs. Long periods of sitting, standing, and walking are possible. Professional certifications in first aid and CPR are a plus.
Hourly rate commensurate with experience and a benefit package is available with health coverage and paid vacation. The successful candidate for this position must be able to pass a complete background check.

The National Civil War Museum has a limited internship program that operates in conjunction with accredited institutions of higher learning for credit and non-credit programs.
