In commemoration of the Civil War Sesquicentennial, the Museum will place "Banners of the Fallen" (flags) in honor of those killed in action during a significant Civil War battle on each battle anniversary. These flags are placed in front of the Museum building, each flag representing one soldier killed in action during that battle.  The Seven Days Battles was a series of six major battles over the seven days, from June 25 - July 1, 1862, near Richmond, Virginia.  The Seven Days Battles commemoration flags will be on display beginning June 17th and will remain in place until July 2, 2012.
