DESCRIPTION:Performance Times:12pm &amp; 2pm\nThe Libby Prison Minstrels is a 5 piece band with guitars\, banjo\, mandolins\, bass\, harmonica\, whistles and percussion&nbsp;featuring 3 part harmony.They are modeled after a real group of Union prisoners who performed in the infamous Libby Prison in Richmond\, VA during the American Civil War.Their concerts include period music in their original arrangements or in historical arrangements they have researched.They mix history and entertainment into a lively concert.Included in their repertoire are soldier songs (North and South)\, songs from home\, Irish-American ballads\, sea shanties and spirituals.They also have a large set of period tunes and Early American dance music and have a strong background in Irish music as well.In concert\, they mix stories\, songs and humor with the goal to entertain as well as educate.They perform in uniform and often bring historical items to aid in their presentation.\nhttp://www.nationalcivilwarmuseum.org/Calendar/tabid/83/vw/3/itemid/31/d/20120728/Default.aspx
