He is also a contributor to the forthcoming sesquicentennial volume\,&nbsp;1863: Lincoln's Pivotal Year (2013). He also writes about the founding era\, and his books include&nbsp;George Washington&rsquo;s America: A Biography Through His Maps&nbsp;and The Battle for New York: The City at the Heart of the American Revolution. A contributing editor of the three-volume Encyclopedia of the American Revolution and Landmarks of the American Revolution\, he is also a contributor to A Companion to George Washington\, and the Encyclopedia of New York City.\nIn addition to lecturing and leading tours and military staff rides\, he has appeared in a variety of television documentaries. \n1863&rdquo; is the third exhibit in a series of commemorative exhibits for the 150th anniversary of the American Civil War.It is scheduled to open on January 17\, 2013 and will be open through December 31\, 2013. &nbsp;Exhibit content will include a timeline of key events and battles that occurred each month\, as well as graphics and a variety of artifacts and documents.\n&nbsp;\nhttp://www.nationalcivilwarmuseum.org/Calendar/tabid/83/vw/3/itemid/59/d/20130116/Default.aspx
