The National Civil War Museum is a unique educational and entertainment facility. This museum caters to the history
enthusiast, the Civil War buff, those who are proud to be Americans, and those who want to know more about America's greatest tragedy.
Tours:
Are educational, entertaining and sometimes
emotional exhibits will give you a better understanding of life during
the Civil War. A unique combination of high-resolution digital video, sound and light shows, life size dioramas, and the world's best Civil War collection is arranged
chronologically.
How long should you allow:
Most visitors linger for at least two hours, others stay for up to four hours.
We encourage you to take your time and move along at your own pace.

Group Tours:
Are available and welcomed. Adult/Senior/Student tours must include a minimum of ten (10) people and arrange for their group event at least one week in advance. The purchase of group tickets on arrival is discouraged. The group leader is always complimentary. For bus tours, the driver is also complimentary. Rates for these tours follow:
2007/2008 MOTOR COACH/TOUR OPERATOR RATES:
Adult/Senior/Student: $4.75 (children under 5 are free)
Motor
Coach Parking: Free on-site parking is available for
buses and motor coach. Limited access is also available for motor homes.
There is no overnight parking permitted on the museum grounds.
Payment:
Prepayment for all group tours may be made by check or credit card. A confirmation letter will be mailed approximately three (3) weeks prior to your event. Please include a copy of the confirmation letter or reservation number with your payment. Tickets will be held at the
Museum Shop.
Food Service:
Pre-arranged catering services are available.
Shop:
Educational and entertainment offerings are plentiful in our Museum Gift Shop.
ADA Compliance: The Museum is fully accessible for people using wheelchairs and motorized scooters. Elevators service all public areas in The National Civil War Museum.

Turn Right onto Market Street

Turn Left onto National Civil War Museum Drive. Follow parking instructions
From Baltimore, MD or York, PA
Follow 83N towards Harrisburg to the 2nd Street Exit. (bear right off
the exit)
Stay in the Right lane and follow to Market Street
Turn Right onto Market Street
Travel approximately 2 miles.

Turn Left onto National Civil War Museum Drive. Follow parking instructions
From Chambersburg/Carlisle
Follow 81N to the 581 split towards Camp Hill/Harrisburg.
Route 581W towards Camp Hill/Harrisburg (Note: Route 581W will turn in
to Route 83N at Harrisburg.
Follow 83N towards Harrisburg to the 2nd Street Exit. (bear right off
the exit)
Stay in the Right lane and follow to Market Street
Turn Right onto Market Street
