Dale Gallon paintings have been deemed a history lesson on canvas and Gallon is known for his attention to detail and historical accuracy.To assist the collector in understanding history, important people and landmarks are identified on the upper and lower borders of the print. Gallon once remarked, "The battlefield is my office. I don't need much more inspiration. I suspect people who collect my paintings feel that on the canvas".
