NCWM Curator Brett Kelley will live the life of a Civil War soldier on picket duty for 2 weeks!!

NCWM Curator Brett Kelley will live the life of a Civil War soldier on the picket line 24/7 for a 2-week period. Using only a Civil War era uniform, equipment and food rations, Brett will be residing in a reproduction winter quarters tent on the Museum grounds in an effort to raise funds that go directly to the NCWM education department.  Projects seeking funding include the development of a distance learning system, a history honors program and acquisition of reproduction equipment for educational presentations for school groups.

Brett will be available to speak to visitors throughout the day at various times. Please click here for Brett's complete schedule. UPDATE: Brett's march on Saturday, Feb. 20 has been rescheduled and he will be available to talk to visitors...only until 12:00pm. Interested in helping our curator fulfill his duties?
