Our newest changing exhibit Pursuit of Freedom, the Abolition of Slavery, opens on Saturday, June 17, 2023. While ending slavery was the shared goal of all abolitionists, you will discover that there were many ideas on how to achieve this goal and what should happen to the newly freed people once emancipated. This exhibition will explore the people, ideas, and moments that helped end slavery in the United States.

This exhibit will be on display through June 2, 2024, and is included in the regular cost of Museum admission.
