SUMMARY:Honoring Veterans Day: National Reading of the Names of United States Colored Troops
DESCRIPTION:Honoring Veterans Day: National Reading of the Names of United States Colored Troops\nThe National Civil War Museum proudly joins the African American Civil War Memorial Museum in honoring the service and sacrifice of United States Colored Troops (USCT) through the Second National Reading of the Names in commemoration of Veterans Day. \nThis meaningful ceremony pays tribute to the African American soldiers who served in the Union Army during the American Civil War\, recognizing their courage\, dedication\, and contributions to the preservation of the Union and the fight for freedom. \nAs part of this national commemoration\, The National Civil War Museum will read aloud the names of soldiers from one of six USCT regiments whose original muster rolls are preserved in the Museum’s collection. \nIn a special opportunity for visitors\, the historic muster roll for the USCT Regiment being honored will be placed on display during the event\, offering a tangible connection to the men whose names and service are being remembered. \nJoin us as we honor these extraordinary soldiers and preserve their legacy. \n  \nAttending this event is free. There is an admission to tour the NCWM galleries.
