Memorial Bricks

The Memorial Brick Program is a unique opportunity for friends of The National Civil War Museum to honor or memorialize a special individual or moment in time.

Located to the left of the Museum's main entrance, the Walk of Valor allows surviving descendants of Civil War veterans a thoughtfully designed place to memorialize their loved ones.

In addition, the Friends Walkway, adjacent to the patio and parade grounds, provides an opportunity to make an expression of support to the Museum by honoring a special person or event.

Bricks may be placed for as low as $75 each. Each 4"x8" brick includes 3 lines of an inscription with 15 characters per line including spaces and punctuations.  The 8"x8" brick allows for an NCWM logo or an extra line of inscription or up to 5 lines of inscription.

Bricks are generally installed twice a year. Those ordered by March 1 will be installed by May 31; those ordered by August 1 will be placed by October 31. Notifications will be sent via email once bricks are placed.
