MEMORIAL BRICKS

Memorial Brick Program

The Memorial Brick Program is a unique opportunity for friends of The National Civil War Museum to honor or memorialize a special individual or moment in time.

Bricks are generally installed twice a year. Those ordered by March 1 will be installed by May 31; those ordered by August 1 will be placed by October 31. Notifications will be sent via email once bricks are placed. Donors will receive a signed certificate, suitable for framing, that can be presented as a gift to a friend, colleague, or loved one, and a photo of the brick will be sent by email once the installation has been completed.

The Walk of Valor

Located to the left of the Museum’s main entrance, this thoughtfully designed walkway allows friends to memorialize Civil War Veterans, from either army, marking their place in history. You do not need to be related to an individual to place a brick in their honor in this unique living memorial.

The Friends Walkway

The Friends Walkway, adjacent to the patio and parade grounds, provides an opportunity to make an expression of support to the museum by honoring a special person or event. This walkway honors donors and their loved ones. It memorializes veterans and deceased friends. It also marks moments in time, like weddings, retirements, and birthdays with a permanent remembrance of that special someone or day.

*Each 4″ x 8″ brick includes 3 lines of text with 15 characters per line including spaces and punctuations. The 8″ x 8″ brick allows for an NCWM logo or an extra line of text or up to 5 lines of inscription.*
